Fully Embedded SDR solution

  • Operate as standalone embedded system or stream daat to a host computer as an IIO device
  • Operating system built using Yocto/OpenEmbedded
  • Radio is controlled using open-source software (GNU Radio, libIIO, and gr-rwt)
  • Tethered mode utilizes gadget etherent over USB-C connection

The Carbon Embedded SDR dock interface allows for the addiation fo accessory moduiles to extend or enhance the RF capabilities of the Carbon SDR.

The following signals are accessible on the dock.

Signals to the transceivers:

  • Rx1, Rx2, Rx3, Rx4, Tx1, Tx2, Tx3, Tx4

Signals to the Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC logic fabric

  • PCIe Gen 2 x 4 lanes
  • GPIO (10 lines)

Signals to Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC Arm Cores

  • PCIe Gen 2 x 2 lanes
  • SPI (3 wire with 2 chip select lines)
  • UART (3 wire)
  • I2C
